Pepper
Pepper arrived 12/19/21
Pepper is a Mustang gelding, orphaned at birth and taken in by a foal rescue up north. He had a healed up broken right front leg! Veterinary advice was to leave the leg "as is" because of the way it had healed and the fact that he was sound on it.
Of course, he can never be ridden and needed to be in sanctuary. Our Bodhi was his gentle babysitter and we didn't know how long he would live - as long as he was pain-free and healthy, we would give him a chance at a normal life. He's still with us, galloping with Teaberry in the big arena and acting like a colt!
From tiny and fragile to big and strong, Pepper is a miracle.
