Sage came to us 3/24/2014

Sage

Sage is a big grey gelding in his 20's. He was a trail horse who had become lame. He had a career in Dressage and jumping in his youth. When we took him in, we pulled his shoes and let his hooves wear the way they needed to be. Body work (which he loves), herbs, leg and hoof care brought him back.

Sage taught lessons at the school before we became a Sanctuary. He is now here for life, not ridden anymore. Sage got EOTRH, a degenerative dental disease that required extraction of his incisors. After the surgery, we rinsed the holes left behind with colloidal  silver 4 times daily for 4 weeks. He received soaked food. He healed, the pain was gone and he now eats hay with no problems.
