She's a mini Molly Mule. She and Willow were part of a hoarding situation (30+ equines) and the licensed rescues took them in. We were blessed with 2 mini mules. We thought Pumpkin was feral, but it turned out she had been brutalized. Her fear was palpable.
We ended up building a "chute" for her in her paddock that she shares with her bonded pair, Peanut. Because the only way we could touch her was inside the horse trailer, a chute was a necessary training and treatment tool for her.
Rachel worked with her at liberty and was able to halter, groom and fly spray her after directing her into the chute. Pumpkin's hooves are trimmed, her teeth floated and she gets Myofascial bodywork all inside the chute! She is a sweet soul, just very PTSD from her past.
