Sugar
Sugar is a blind Appaloosa mare in her 20's. Her family was moving overseas and could not take her. Healthy and kind, Sugar needed a soft landing, for life. She had lived with a companion pony (who wore a bell) who had died the year before. We had to take her in.
Andy now lives in the pen/shelter beside her and wears a leather halter with the bell her old companion wore. This is reassuring for Sugar. She loves attention - as long as we talk softly and move slowly around her.
